Total lunar eclipse

April 16, 2014

A shadow began to creep across the eastern limb of the moon at around 11:45 PM.  The moon entered the earth's umbra around 1:00 AM, and emerged again two hours later.

At 1:19 AM, the moon lay completely in the earth's shadow and glowed with a reddish hue.
