The Japanese city of Ito [伊東, pop 70K] in Shizuoka Prefecture[静岡県], lies on the coast of the mountainous Izu Penninsula [伊豆半島].  In this view looking roughly north from Komuroyama[小室山], Mt. Fuji [富士山], elevation 3776 m, can be seen 35 mi [58km] distant.  From this point, central Tokyo is about 61 mi [98 km] away, a little out of the right side of the frame in this photo.
