Lots of snow lies on the flanks of Mt. Meeker and Long's Peak from last weekend's storm. There are moments just at sunrise when the long rays of the sun illuminate the peaks in pink and purple.

Although this week's weather has buried everything in snow again for a few days, we got a taste of Spring last weekend, with Crocus chrysanthus in bloom:

Nesting herons
Another sign of spring - a colony of Great Blue Herons building their nests.
No herons in this one - just sunrise coming behind the leafless trees and the glassy surface of a pond.
